Dealing with the everyday world of sports, flaring tempers are a normal occurrence in almost every discipline. We often come across incidents from different realms of sport that showcase the nasty side of things. But have you ever seen a basketball court transform into a full-fledged jiu-jitsu showdown? If not, then today’s video might surprise you. A couple of men started off what appeared to be a heated argument between themselves. However, soon, things went out of hand and one of them started to display his jiu-jitsu skills in full glory. 

With the onlookers visibly shocked, several attempts were made to separate the two, but to no avail. Ultimately, a stronger interference managed to break the brawling parties, quite possibly ruining the essence of the game by now. 

Jiu-jitsu reigns supreme as basketball game turns violent

The video was uploaded by an account named CrazyClips on X. In a forty-eight-second-long clip, we witness the scene opening to the backdrop of a basketball court. A couple of men would then emerge into the frame, who could be seen exchanging heated words with each other. As the argument went on, the man in the red and black t-shirt seemed to get more aggressive. Ultimately, he decided to settle things once and for all as he landed a punch on his opponent. Unfortunately for the man, little did he know that his opponent was trained in jiu-jitsu! No sooner had he punched him, than the man in the green tee proceeded to take him down in a perfectly executed MMA move. The man further went on to lock his opponent in a rear naked choke. 

With nowhere to go, the man wearing the red and black t-shirt tried his best to evade the grasp, but to no avail. In the meantime, a third person intervened and attempted to separate the two brawlers. But the level of adrenaline was running so high that he failed to accomplish his mission. This was until a female voice from the background directed the two men in a stern voice and asked them to stop. It was only then the duo refrained from their hogging as the video came to a close. 

Such a unique video was bound to garner a lot of attention, and surely it did so. 

Netizens react to the jiu-jitsu mayhem

The X post captioned, “Who Said Jujitsu Dont Work In The Streets”, received more than 2 million views and 13.7k likes in less than 24 hours. The comment section was filled with more than 1.4k.

The fight was so intense that fans analyzed the moves pulled off by the guys. One of the users commented that one of them tried to hit back with a sucker punch but it did not work out well for him.

Another user referring to the caption of the video shared his personal opinion mentioning why Brazilian jiu-jitsu is not meant for street fights.

One of the Twitter users mentioned that the jiu-jitsu skills are, although worth learning, not always effective during street fights.

One fan was just relieved to find out that the guy did not get his leg broken.

“He a real martial artist to not pop the dudes knee”, wrote another user.
