“Some Things Have to Stop”: Basketball Star Felipe Motta Debunks Bizarre Alien Sighting Fiasco in Viral Brazilian Video

Basketball athlete Felipe Motta recently debunked a conspiracy theory regarding a possible alien sighting in Brazil. In an overly viral video, a hiker captured footage of a couple of alleged 10-ft-tall aliens near the Brazilian island of Ilha Do Mel. Unlike most alien videos, this video was shot in broad daylight and very clear. Upon closer inspection, a couple of gigantic figures do appear in the far distance atop the hill. 

Unfortunately, after quite a bit of wild discussion on the internet, the truth was finally out. With the revelation from the athlete, it is baffling how anyone could misunderstand a human for an alien. So what exactly happened? Let’s break down the mystery below. 

Basketball star claims to be the alleged ‘alien’

As much as we would like the Fermi Paradox to be true, human civilization has always been terrified of aliens. Since time immemorial, several accounts of alien sightings have been reported only to get debunked in the end. Yet, the conspiracy theories have continued to spread, and today’s video might just be a strong contender for the argument of alien existence. 

In what seemed like an anti-climax for the conspiracy theorists, Felipe Motta, a basketball athlete, stated that those figures were not aliens. How was he so sure? Well, it was Motta himself who was spending a nice time amidst nature when Sarah Dalete, a hiker, filmed him. The athlete posted a video online debunking the alien theory. While clarifying the whereabouts, Motta also looked quite frustrated with the entire fiasco. 

In the video, he stated, “I am two metres tall (6.5 ft) and yes, I understand that I’m tall…But things have to stop… People took beautiful photos of me up there. Then they sent it to a gossip page and called me an alien.”

When Sarah Dalete saw the screen on her camera, she could not believe what she was seeing! While Sarah and her family hoped to spend a calm and serene moment with each other, they were terrified to unravel an unwanted mystery. A couple of figures stood on top of the Ilha Do Mel mountain. And these figures were not of normal humans! Allegedly measuring approximately 10 feet, the creatures looked like aliens!

The creatures’ height was estimated by the fact that the shrubbery was touching up to their knees! Sarah informed that since the location where these creatures were discovered was far away, it was not possible to communicate and confirm the exact identity. She also said the creatures paced quickly up and down the mountain. 

While social media users immediately flocked to the comment section of the post to establish the existence of aliens, sadly the truth, as always, was something entirely different.
