Representing your country is an honor, an experience that fills one’s heart with pride and warmth. The privilege of standing for something greater than oneself, sharing in the diverse tapestry of a nation’s spirit, and uniting with fellow countrymen in pursuit of common goals is an indescribable joy that evokes smiles, cheers and a profound sense of unity. Today, we’re talking about three people who definitely will soon relate to that experience. Josh Craik, Naimh Tolan, and Madison Clamp are set to fly to Florida for next year’s International Cheer Union World Cheerleading Championships.
The three cheer stars are part of ICE Allstars. The group, which was launched by Coach Chloe Farmer in 2020, aims to boost young cheerleaders to the next level of their journey.
Off to Team Scotland
Upon hearing the news, Chloe was absolutely amazed by her students’ accomplishments. She was especially delighted that her students received this opportunity while her club was still in its nascent stage. “It’s the first time we’ve had any of them go for Team Scotland and everybody who went to audition got in,” she exclaimed. The tournament will be held in Orlando, Florida, from April 24-26, 2024.

While Madison and Josh, 16 and 21 respectively, will be representing team Scotland on the senior level, Naimh, who is just 13, will be participating in the youth competition.“It’s such a journey they’ve been on and you see how quickly they’re progressing through the skills,” Chloe says. The coach will be accompanying her students to Florida as part of Team Scotland.
Chloe Farmer will also be coaching at Team Scotland. She will be heading the team that includes a combination of people with adaptive needs and those without. The ICE Allstars will soon begin raising money to cover expenses for the trip.
ICE Plans for the Future
Chloe Farmer and her students have been looking forward to this moment since 2020 when the club began. While Chloe will not be accompanying her students in the capacity of a coach, she still remains positive. “Being chosen to represent Scotland is such a big deal – it just makes you so proud of them and what they’re achieving,” she says. Meanwhile, she has deep gratitude for her own job as well. She claims, “They basically come together to try and give everyone an opportunity to compete at the worlds.”
To raise funds, the ICE Allstars will be holding a sponsored walk, covering a distance of over 200 miles. The walk will begin at Glasgow and go on all the way to Llahnbryde near Elgin. While the students truly deserve their opportunities, we hope they can keep their cool and focus on making a name for themselves.
