VIDEO: Couple’s Wheelie Stunt Takes a Deadly Turn on the Highway

In the world of stuntmen and stuntwomen, there is always an ongoing paradox. On one hand, we have the sheer thrill and adrenalin rush that comes after the successful execution of a stunt, and on the other hand, we have the element of risk, the “what if” side of things, for times when things go wrong.

A recent incident involving a biker couple brought up this paradox again, as this time, things didn’t go as planned.

Quest for adrenaline proves costly

A viral video clip uploaded by the page ‘CCTV IDIOTS’ showed a couple on a sports bike speeding across an expressway.

The man was in the middle of performing a wheelie as the video started, and as soon as he increased acceleration, they spelled their doom.

He performed the wheelie perfectly, and his friend in the vehicle captured it on camera. As they landed back on two wheels, the duo crashed into the pavement dividing the road.

The impact of the crash was so devastating that the friction caused a fire and left the man burning while the woman riding the pillion lay motionless on the road. Cars coming from the opposite side of the road, narrowly avoided running over the bodies of the bikers. Luckily for the injured, another biker, probably the one filming the incident, who was driving on the other side of the divider, stopped his bike and rushed to their aid. He pulled the unconscious biker, who was partially in flames, and tried to douse the fire.  Both the man and woman lay on the road motionless and this is where the clip ended.
