Combat sports appeal to something inherent in us, a fight-or-flight response nurtured by thousands of years of evolution. Of course, when one gets older, life takes precedence and people manage to suppress that part of themselves or they just get busy with things. But kids are different. They have no filter and they love a good fight.
There is something about combat sports and sports entertainment like MMA, Boxing, and WWE that just makes youngsters try it out in their backyards despite express instructions to never try it at home. They immediately look to imitate the moves and maneuvers that their favorite fighters perform. The internet captured one such altercation between two young boys on camera, amidst loud cheers.

Uploaded on X by the page ‘TopStreetFights’, the video showed two young boys trying to punch holes into each other’s faces. The two boys can be seen wildly swinging hooks and crosses at each other. Of course, if they were older or trained, they would know that jabs would suffice but they are young and they look really mad at each other. So, it doesn’t really matter to them. But did it work, the whole swinging like your life depends on it thing?

They pushed each other and continued their little backstage brawl as students in the background screamed and cheered for them. It was a regular UFC Fight Night. It seemed as if they were in an Octagon and the students were the audience and the only thing missing was a referee. Because what happened definitely warranted an early stoppage. The boy dressed in the grey hoodie looked like he had the upper hand. He tackled and slammed the other boy to the floor, which sent the entire school into a frenzy. He then went back into the crowd and left the others there alone, signaling the end of their MMA brawl.

They threw and and got it out their system. Hopefully they shook hands after.
— AA SMITTY (@AsMarshall79) November 13, 2023
Smitty hoped the two boys shook hands after all that violence. Unlikely, since this is real life and they are school kids. So, no, in all likeliness, they didn’t shake hands.

All that said, one can only hope that the kid in the black hoodie is fine. That could have been dangerous. Nobody likes getting knocked out. And nobody remains the same after a knockout. Regardless, it’s good to see that the kid in the grey hoodie simply walked away after realizing he had won the fight.
