Two years ago, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland found himself at the center of such an unexpected yet hilarious episode. Turning a routine goal jubilation into a comedy feat, Haaland received an unfriendly gesture from an old Wolfsburg fan.

The incident took place on 27 November, Saturday, when Haaland etched his name in the history of football. However, he found himself at the center of a comedic subplot adding a touch of humor to the intense match.

23-year-old Haaland who was then only 21 years old had evolved to be a football sensation and made a comeback to the football arena overcoming a six-week hiatus due to a hip injury. In the 81st minute of Dortmund’s clash against Wolfsburg, Haaland helped his team to score the third goal of the match and he broke Bundesliga records scoring his 50th goal. 

Following this victory, Haaland ran towards the sidelines and cheekily winked in the direction of the stands. The cameraman caught the entire moment as an irate Wolfsburg fan showed her middle finger to the striker.
