The racing bonanza continues with the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix all set to begin today. Red Bull’s star Max Verstappen sits on top of the championship table and is in the middle of a historic run of form. The racer at the second spot, occupied by another RedBull driver, Sergio Perez has a difference of almost 150 points from Verstappen.

The F1 content team is famous for its unique and exciting style. Just a few weeks back, AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda and Max Verstappen, set foot in a mine, for a race of a different kind. The two speedsters arrived at the site to race in huge mega trucks and the video shared on YouTube generated a lot of buzz and positive reactions.

Max Verstappen, once again showed the entire world why he is a force to be reckoned with.

From smooth tracks to bumpy terrains

The video was shared on RedBull’s YouTube channel and has over 2 million views and users enjoyed the high-octane clash and chemistry between the two racers. Their camaraderie and banter made for great viewing.

The huge mega trucks had tires that weighed 700 kgs and driving them around the track looked like a tough nut to crack.

Both racers watched on as the trucks sailed along the rocky roads with almost no difficulty. Both of the drivers took a test run in the beasts before beginning their battle to see who was the fastest of them all! Verstappen looked totally comfortable while AlphaTuari driver Yuki Tsunoda struggled to climb on in a hilarious bit.

He also mentioned in the video how the mega trucks were intimidating to him but his fellow driver made sure to put him at ease.  They gave their trucks funky names, with Max’s called ‘Supermax’ and Yuki’s ‘Yukinator’, to add another layer of fun to the video. The drivers were set to race for mega truck supremacy at the ‘Erzberg Mine’.

Max Verstappen is human after all

The mine was laid out with different obstacles on their racing tracks and interesting twists and turns at certain turns on the track. It started with a qualifying round, just like they have it in F1. Yuki was the first one to go but in a comic moment, his engine turned off the minute he pressed the throttle.

Verstappen made sure to pull his fellow driver’s leg and also kept the countdown going, in a moment of playful banter. Tsunoda had a bumpy ride as you would expect but completed the lap at the end of it all. He wished Max the best of luck for his lap and asked him to “Stay alive!”

Max showed his driving prowess even with the mega trucks, sailing smoothly on the bumpy track with his time 3 seconds than that of Yuki’s. With qualifying wrapped, the duo were now all set to race!

Yuki got a great head start in the race and gained a slight lead. Max pressed the throttle with all his might but unfortunately, his engine misfired and his race potentially ended over there. Yuki completed the race and the chequered flags were waved as he won the race of the mega trucks.

Max looked disappointed for sure, as any champion hates losing. He playfully joked that Yuki messed with his engine and he also obliged by saying ” I just put water inside his engine.”  Yuki was handed over his trophy for the triumphant race and both of them shook hands.

With all the fun and games now wrapped up, Verstappen’s entire focus is now on the Singapore GP and emerging victorious over there. He is in the middle of a dream run, becoming the first driver to win 10 consecutive races and will be keen on making it 11 today! However, he won’t start the race at his normal position in the top 3 at the 111th place after a below-par qualifying yesterday.
