Cyclists escape narrow death on highway

A viral video circulating on X showed one cyclist plying his way merrily on the highway, just moments before disaster struck. Such instances of cyclists getting caught in major incidents have increased multifold in the past few years.

The roads have become a death wish for cyclists all over and there are major safety concerns. But not all of it is down to poor infrastructure or rash driving. At times, the cyclists too are at fault, just like in this video.

The video showed two cyclists peddling their way on what looked like quite a busy highway. The cyclist in front wanted to take the exit to the right and waited till the second to make his move. Unaware that the truck was right behind him.

Netizens react to nerve-racking video

He tilted his bodyweight to the right and slammed straight into the truck. The impact was brutal as he fell immediately, and so did his partner behind him. Both of them escaped what could have been a deadly accident. The cyclist was at fault here as he waited until the last second to make the exit. There was no way a truck at full speed on a highway could do anything to stop.
