Triathlons are by no means an easy feat to accomplish and require immense strength, willpower, and physical endurance. An Ironman triathlon is a completely different ball game altogether. The level of difficulty in an Ironman Triathlon is much higher and greater than a normal triathlon. The athletes who participate in such events are sometimes referred to as ‘madmen’, just based on the sheer audacity to try it.
Matt Jackson, an athlete from the United States, finished the event with the best numbers and was ranked 1st. He completed the entire event in 9:12:28 with the next best being 9:22:27. Jackson dominated his category (M30-34) and also showed his endurance and athletic prowess. The Tri Club results of the Ironman Wisconsin saw Team Zoot finish the maximum tally of points. They occupied the first position comfortably with 69,369 points and the second place C26 Triathlon Team finished with 48,961 points. The event was a huge success but was marred by the unfortunate death of the Madison athlete.
