Road safety is definitely not an issue to be taken lightly. On one hand, it is only natural that experienced drivers tend to get overconfident from time to time, but on the other hand, that can come with grave consequences. The best driver on the street is always the safest driver on the street. Still, despite many road accidents daily, drivers somehow just don’t get the message on road safety. Call it hubris or just the human condition, some things on the road never change.
In keeping with this, a recent collision in Newbury has hospitalized a cyclist. The crash took place on Oxford Street quite close to the clock tower. The man is currently under care, having sustained “serious injuries” from the accident.
