Unfortunately for Marina, her morning ride met an abrupt end after she was struck by a vehicle on Route 571. A vacation on Labor Day turned into a morning of mayhem and mourning for Marina’s family. No one could have anticipated the horror that was about to unfold.
Cyclist meets her fatal demise

Making her way through Route 571, Marina met with an accident at milepost 28 in Millstone in Monmouth County. Her bicycle crashed with a Kia, according to reports from the New Jersey State Police.
As of now, it is unclear if the driver was under the influence and further investigations are ongoing. The accident left her with severe damage to the head. She was transferred to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
