Dolphins’ Cheerleader Turns Heads on Television as She Gets a Stint on Fox’s Show

Getting an opportunity to appear on the television screen is something almost every person has dreamed of. For Miami Dolphins cheerleader Annellyse Munroe, dreams and reality are about to become one. From the glitz, glamour, and action in the NFL, the energetic cheerleading personality is all set to move away from city life.

Fox is back with the second season of its show ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’, where four farmers select five women that will proceed to live with them. In the world of dating apps like Tinder, Hinge and Bumble, the show has perhaps found a way to combine both modern and traditional styles to make it a unique viewing experience. What is in store for Annellyse, a woman who has never experienced how life on the farm is?

Cheerleader joins the cast of famous reality show

The first season of the show finished last year in May, with amazing reviews from every viewer. Reports revealed that there was an average 2-2.5 million viewers in overnight ratings and the show was a massive hit. That prompted Fox to renew it for another season, which started February 1, 2024.

Last season, three farmers looking to find love in their small town were successful in doing so but eventually due to difference their relationships ended. But all of this will not deter Annellyse from her decision to find love on the farm. For a woman living in urban settings to move to a farm, adjust and also find ‘the one’ seems like an uphill task, but one that she is willing to do.

The hope of finding a perfect partner is what draws everyone to ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’.

Talking to the media after her entry into the show, Munroe said, “Internally, I was like, ‘Annellyse, do you see yourself outside? You do not like dirt. You do not like being in anything messy,’ but I’m willing to go on an adventure, and yes, I’ll go through the unconventional way of going on a reality TV show, and yes, being on a farm, to find that person.”

Season two promises more drama!

The basic premise of the show involves four farmers selecting the women they are most compatible with. The woman have to perform a string of farming related activities and tasks that they may not be familiar with.

Based on the voting and choice of the farmer, a woman is safe or eliminated.  Every person in the show is out to find the one, especially for the farmers who say finding love in a small town is hard. For the women, there is a certain aura of mystery and excitement in farm life, drawing them to the show.

American singer, actress and music producer Jennifer Nettles will return as the host for the second season. It promises to be a rollercoaster ride!
