There are some things that you shouldn’t mess with and a rampaging bull is most definitely one of them. Bull Run is a sport with cultural heritage in some Spanish traditions but it brings with it a great amount of danger.

In a video posted on Reddit, an unaware woman standing on the street side, faced dire consequences due to a lapse in concentration. A brief moment of not paying attention to what was going on around her proved quite fatal.

Rampaging bull unleashes fury

The video showed a rampaging bull wrecking havoc and dashing down the street as people desperately tried to get away, all part of the “encierro” what it’s called locally.

The bull approached a turn at full speed and slipped. The woman stood on the side, unaware of the bull. It stood up, marked its target and smashed her. People around grew worried and as the rampaging bull did not relent and hit the woman continuously. A man from the crowd, wearing a jersey that became a topic of great discussion in the subreddit, tried to fend the bull away with a stick.

The bull finally charged ahead after devastatingly hitting the woman and the men around swung their sticks.

Bull Run is here to stay despite calls to shut

People stuck to the side of the gates and some ran ahead, truly maddening scenes. Users on reddit were quick to comment and leave their thoughts about the contentious tradition.

Some users made their feelings about the bull pretty clear, calling it “Steve Bull”. One user expressed concern for the bull and believed that it did not deserve to be treated like that.

Most of the users though, wondered what team the yellow jersey in the video belonged to. Most of them thought it was a Wolves jersey but some of them were not convinced otherwise.

The Bull Run or encierro as it’s called, is part of an age old tradition. Authorities are on high alert during these events and they are closely monitored. The latest edition of the sport was conducted in July, where thousands of people gathered to race away from the bulls and face their fears head on.

The dangers have always existed but the thrill and adrenaline gives everyone the will to power through.
