A man famous for getting involved in many brawls in his baseball career at Major League Baseball, Yasiel was the inactive member in this particular fight. According to reports, the fight broke out over an emotionally charged home run celebration that irked Yasiel’s team. As tensions rose, Puig made his way to the middle to stop the fight.

Instead, he was greeted in the mess with a brutal slap to his face. Perhaps, a younger Yasiel would retaliate but here he did not even flinch. The opponent player quickly backed away after the slap, fearful of getting brutally hit back in reply.

The entire fight broke out over an objection to a bat flip and some words being passed around. Yasiel’s team La Guaira won the first two games comfortably, with the scoreline reading 12-10 and 7-5 in the two games respectively.

A return to Major League, however, looks tough for the 33-year-old. Such a violent and topsy-turvy history, along with his infamous connection to a sports gambling operation, where he pleaded guilty to one count, make a return unlikely. There were murmurs of him getting signed this year, but nothing came to fruition despite his rich vein of form. The action and fight, however, always seem to follow Yasiel everywhere he goes.
