WWE’s product isn’t what it used to be. This isn’t a statement by a journalist or a critic, but the fans. But, Vince McMahon, who knows WWE wouldn’t be what it is without the fans, doesn’t accept this claim at all.

Lately, quite a few have lashed out at the company for repetitive storylines, pushing megastars to the top, not giving the deserving an opportunity, mass releases, and whatnot. However, The Big Man has not budged from his vision for the company and what it produces.

Reportedly, McMahon believes that the fact that the company reported their highest profit and revenue, $1 Billion, this year is proof that the business model and the product is working. Mike Johnson from PWInsider reported the following:

“We are told he pushes and presents what he likes and wants and else makes a dent in that vision.” H/t Wrestling Inc.

This is something which has been established over the years. Vince McMahon knows what he wants and does what he wants. A good example of this is when WWE makes mass releases.

Even though the fans have lashed out at WWE every time they’ve executed mass releases, the company pays no heed. It continues to terminate contracts as and when they feel required.

WWE will change after Vince McMahon passes the crown

Currently, only The Big Man runs the show. Whatever happens or doesn’t happen completely depends on whether he signs off on it. In fact, when his son, Shane McMahon, caused backstage chaos, Vince moved him away from creative discussion and decisions.

However, Stephanie McMahon has revealed that when her father decides to step down, the company will not run based on one man’s decision. Instead, the responsibilities and decisions will become more horizontal between top management.

It’s understandable why Vince McMahon doesn’t want to pass on similar powers to someone else in the company while he’s the Chairman. Once he steps down, he’ll be more comfortable with any changes that take place internally.

The only question is – who will Vince McMahon choose as his primary successor when he decides to step down?
