Recently, WWE legend Paul Heyman revealed in an interview, how Vince McMahon once found a way to garner more attention by exploiting the heroic activity of John Cena. Cena is known for his charitable work for make-a-wish campaigns, and Heyman revealed how McMahon took advantage of it.

The 57-year-old Wiseman of WWE recently revealed in a podcast, how once Vince McMahon used John Cena’s charity work and turned it into a business idea. John Cena has granted over 650 wishes for make-a-wish. However, he always stayed private about it, until Vince McMahon approached him.

Heyman revealed that Cena never wanted recognition or publicity for this work, but McMahon urged him to turn this public. He said, “There had come a point of time where Vince had to sit down with John. ‘You need to make me go public with these make-a-wish things. You have to. You know, you are hurting make a wish by not allowing me to do that. If people understood how much of your time you could give to make a wish and to these kids, they will be inclined to contribute. They’ll be inclined to get involved. You will help them, if you allow this.'”

Heyman further continued, “Cena never wanted to exploit this, he never wanted publicity for it. He never wanted recognition for it. He wanted to just do it, that’s a hero.”

John Cena has always been one of the most popular figures in the industry, and his work for Make-A-Wish made him even more fan favorite.

In the same podcast, Heyman would also speak about how he envisions Cena as a superhero. He further stated how he desires his grandchildren to see Cena as a hero and choose him over comic-book heroes.

Heyman said, ” John Cena to me is a real-life hero. He is a superhero. When I become a grandparent one day if I’m asked what my grandchildren should watch. I not read comic books or whatever it’ll not be watch Superman, or batman, or spiderman, or Incredible Hulk. “

Cena’s charitable work is commendable and is worth every praise he receives.
