On this upcoming Monday Night Football, the Kansas City Chiefs are all set to take on the Minnesota Vikings. The Chiefs are coming along with only losing one match whereas the Vikings have proved victorious in only one match. Looking at the numbers, the Kansas side looks heavier as they’ve won more times but it’s never obvious what will happen on the night of. Recently, the injury report was released by the Vikings after their Thursday practice.
The players listed could shock a few as Minnesota’s main defensive option against star quarterback Patrick Mahomes might not be available for the team. Minnesota’s QB Kirk Cousins will certainly be hoping to see his teammates back in action against a Kansas side in red-hot form.
Vikings injury report listed 9 players including Marcus Davenport

The upcoming game is almost here and the Vikings have listed 9 players on their IR. The amount of players injured might cause problems for the team in the near future. Injuries are not abnormal in the field of football, what is abnormal is the amount of players injured. Four players in the injury report are questionable if they will be playing in the upcoming match.
LB Brian Asamoah (Toe), SAF Lewis Cine (Hamstring), LB Marcus Davenport (Ankle), and QB Nick Mullens (Back). Notably, the starting linebackers for both teams are still listed as questionable. The rest of the players on the Vikings’ IR might still be available come Monday night.
Three players on the list were on rest and not injured. The players on rest included MLB Jordan Hicks, OT Brian O’Neal, and FS Harrison Smith.
The good news is that on Friday, 3 players on the IR were practicing. C Garett Bradbury (Back), and SAF Josh Mettellus (Shoulder), were in the column of full participation. However, fans will still be hoping for the return of Marcus Davenport, who was crucial in Minnesota’s first and only win of the season.

Not just the Vikings, even the Chiefs released their updated injury report which looks better than the Vikings.

While the Vikings had 9 players on the injury report, the Chiefs have 10 players on the IR out of which 3 players are questionable for playing in the next game. Their DT Matt Dickerson (Knee), starting LB Nick Bolton (Ankle), and OT Wanya Morris (Hip), all of them are questionable for the next match.

While their defense might be missing a few key pieces, their offense can still be carried by star QB Patrick Mahomes.
Eight out of the 10 players listed were seen in full participation on Friday, which is good news for the Chiefs. CB Jaylen Watson, LB Jack Cochrane, DE Chris Jones, WR Kadarius Toney, LB Drue Tranquill, DE George Karlaftie, and CB L’Jarius Sneed, all of whom were also listed on the IR.
