Australian Fast bowler Brett Lee anounced his retirement from all forms of cricket today.
Sheer Pace, a flashy smile and leaping celebrations is the image which comes to cricket fans mind when he thinks of Brett Lee. Leaving the batsmen gasping for breath with his lightening yorkers and ferocious bouncers, Brett Lee was a threat to all the batting line ups in the world. At his best he gained outswing with the new ball and reverse with the older one, making him even more difficult for batsmen trying to steady themselves while knowing he could reach 160kph.
But with injuries on the ankle and stress fractures on the back, cricket started taking its toll on Brett Lee. The injuries cut short his career to some extent, as a bowler like him could only play 76 test matches for Australia. Still he finished as the 4th highest wicket taker for the Aussies with 310 scalps. In ODIs, he took 380 wickets in 221 matches in which he represented Australia at 3 world cups from 2003-2011.

Not only that, Brett Lee, a gentleman off the field, was great team player and a fierce competitor who played for Australia despite some injuries. The sight of him bowling in the 2011 WC Quarter-final after getting a cut on the eye and the disappointment of not taking Australia over the line in Edgbaston in 2005 talks about his character.
Essentially Sports brings you a compilation of his best 100 wickets. Relive the pace, the yorkers and the bouncers once again.
