‘The Notorious One’ is back! Conor McGregor has begun training for his much-anticipated rematch against former interim champion Dustin Poirier. McGregor will make his return to the Octagon after announcing his retirement earlier this year. In a series of tweets, McGregor had expressed his frustration for not landing a fight.

Amidst the chaos that ensued, McGregor took to Twitter and invited Dustin Poirier for an exhibition bout. The former interim chap didn’t waste a lot of time and accepted the offer. UFC President Dana White later revealed that he has offered a fight to both the fighters.

In no time, both the fighters accepted the fight and if everything goes as planned, we could witness McGregor return to the Octagon in a rematch for a potential #1 contender’s match for the UFC lightweight championship against an equally accomplished Dustin Poirier.
