Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has quickly evolved from being just another rookie to arguably the best quarterback in the league within the blink of an eye.

Back in 2018 which was his first full season as the Chiefs’ starting QB, Mahomes recorded 50 touchdowns and over 5,000 passing yards. To follow up that MVP season, in 2019 Patrick Mahomes picked up his first Super Bowl ring by guiding the Chiefs past the Niners in Super Bowl LIV.

Now a bonafide superstar, Patrick Mahomes is known for his razzle-dazzle style of play. Be it no-look passes or jaw-dropping throws while flying through the ground like Superman, Mahomes is a master in pulling off the most unthinkable tricks.

And this recent clipping from Kansas City Chiefs’ practice is further evidence of that.

Patrick Mahomes has plenty of tricks up his sleeves

The Kansas City Chiefs led by Patrick Mahomes are in practice mode as training camps have kicked off across the league. A showman for the crowds, one can never quite predict what trick Mahomes has up his sleeve.

As Mahomes looked to run into the endzone in what looks to be a modified version of a two-minute drill, the quarterback is seen first making a run for it and then pulling off a sneaky fake pass behind the back to bamboozle his opponent.

And to cap it off, the quarterback even added a little fun by dancing his way into the endzone.

Now, of course, this is only training camp and the guy who fell for it looks to be a Chiefs coach rather than a player. But amidst all the fun and games, no one would’ve expected to pull this one off so easily.

A delight to watch, perhaps Mahomes can give this little trick a bit more practice and pull it off in an NFL game.
