Buenos Aires is full of people with jersey number 10. The tournament started with a bit of a hiccup for Argentina when they lost their first match, shockingly, against Saudi Arabia.

Eventually, Lionel Messi and his team found their gear and grabbed the ultimate prize, winning all of their matches after that. It is great to see the legend of soccer winning the trophy he deserved. This win was very special as many widely considered this the last rodeo for the magician. The team is in Argentina right now celebrating the conquest. However, while celebrating team almost met with an accident which they ignored by a very narrow margin.

Thousands of fans have gathered in the heart of the city for days, awaiting the return of their heroes. The authorities organized a bus tour for the team to display the trophy. While touring the city with the trophy, the team almost met with a life-threatening situation.

Lionel Messi and other stars are in Buenos Aires

After traveling all the way from Qatar, the trophy has reached the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires. The city streets are overflowing with ecstatic fans celebrating their nation’s triumph. The scenes are just mesmerizing as the fans have painted the city light blue and white.

The team went out for a tour of the city with Lionel Messi and other team members in an open vehicle. However, in one corner, Messi and a few other players were almost caught in the electric wire, which could have resulted in a major disaster.

The players had to take evasive action to save themselves. Fortunately, in the end, the tour went as planned and the team completed their planned route. The soccer world is still processing the match that brought the trophy to Argentina. To think that if Martinez would have made that magical save or if Mbappe had scored one more goal somehow, it would have all gone south.

The final match between Argentina and France is recorded in history as the joint second-most goals scored in the final of the world cup after the 1958 World Cup. After the extra time, both teams were standing at three goals each. Messi started the party by scoring for Argentina with a penalty kick in the 23rd minute. Angel di Maria, the scorer in the finals for Argentina, scored in the 36th minute. The South Americans were winning until Kylian Mbappe decided to give everyone a virtual heart attack and scored two back-to-back goals in a couple of minutes. The regular play ended with a 2-2 draw.
