Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso has insisted that Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal will be a perfect signing for the Bundesliga champions. The former Real Madrid and Spain player believes that Vidal’s experience in the Bundesliga will be useful for the Bavarian side.
Vidal played in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen for four years before joining Juventus in 2011. He has enjoyed great success with Juventus, winning each of the four league titles in his four years in Italy.
Bayern are currently looking for a replacement for Bastian Schweinsteiger, who left Germany for a move to Manchester United, and are close to landing Vidal for £28m. Alonso, who himself failed to commit his future at Allianz Arena, claims that Vidal might be the perfect player to replace the 30-year-old German international.

“Vidal is a great player. He is just the type of player we need at Bayern,” Alonso said at a press conference. “He has shown over the years that he is a true winner, both at Juventus and with Chile’s national side. Plus, he has plenty of Bundesliga experience already, which is also quite important.
“I wouldn’t say he is an aggressive player, but he is quite forceful. He is very complete and can play in a number of positions,” he continues. “We will welcome Vidal with open arms if the transfer does happen. You always want to be surrounded by the best players. But it is obviously not official yet.”
Although Alonso’s place in the starting 11 might be under threat if Vidal arrives at Bayern, the 33-year-old international has welcomed the 28-year-old Chilean midfielder, who helped Chile to their first Copa America title this year, at Bayern.
