Red Bull prodigy Max Verstappen has come through the ranks of the team, starting from Toro Rosso (Alpha Tarui) to the main team. In the process, he developed a close relationship with Dr. Helmut Marko, the team’s advisor.
The Dutchman has been in exceptional form in this season’s championship, winning the second round at the Emilia GP and currently sits in second place in the driver’s standings. The 23-year-old will be hoping to take the lead soon in the fight for the title and will aim to win at the exciting Monaco Grand Prix, which coming up this weekend.

Max Verstappen sees Marko as a “father” in the Red Bull team
In an exclusive interview with Racingnews365, Verstappen revealed just how close a relationship he shares with Marko Helmut.
“Helmut is like a father to me, yes. I have a very good relationship with both of them and with Helmut…he says what he thinks and he is always straightforward. I like that. There are no bullsh*t stories with him.”

“The relationship with Marko is very good, and so is the one with Christian. Of course, over the years we have been through so much and it is all going well. We get along well,” Verstappen concluded.
A chance at the title for the Dutchman?
Verstappen has been consistently delivering significant results for the Milton-Keynes-based outfit so far this season. He has 80 points to his name and sits in 2nd place behind Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton.

The Dutchman will hope to score some major points in the upcoming Monaco GP and will aim to take the lead in the driver’s standings. He has proven that he can fight The Knight by displaying amazing performances around the track and giving the Briton a run for his money.

Verstappen was been on the tail of Hamilton but has never really got past him to claim the title. However, many think that this could be his season to take the fight to the seven-time world champion for this year’s championship.
