Venus Williams Includes Serena Williams In Her Most Memorable Victory

American star Venus Williams has been a very successful tennis player, winning many Grand Slam titles. This makes fans wonder which Majors win was her favorite. She has just answered this question in a recent Q&A on YouTube. Check it out.

Venus Williams Favorite Grand Slam Win

In her recent Q&A, Venus Williams was asked about her favorite Grand Slam title victory. Since she has won so many Slams, she had to think a little before answering.

“I will go with my last Grand Slam win at the Wimbledon where I played women’s doubles with Serena.”

This will surprise most people as they would have expected a win from the singles category. Venus went on to explain why she chose that particular victory.

“Tennis is such an individual sport so being part of a team gives you some extra pressure. To rise to the occasion with someone else and that someone else being your sister is something really special.”

Venus Williams’ reason for picking a doubles’ Grand Slam win is a good one. In total, she has won 14 Grand Slams in doubles with Serena. Her last win in doubles, also her favorite, came in 2016 and I am sure she will be working hard to win more titles with Serena in the future.

While Venus loves doubles and will want to win more titles in that category, she will want to win a Grand Slam in singles also. She has not won one since the 2008 Wimbledon. It is unlikely she will manage another singles Major title now, seeing as she is well past her prime. However, tennis is an unpredictable sport, you never know when a player might run into some excellent form and rampage through an event, especially on the WTA Tour.

Unfortunately, she will have to wait to even try as the WTA Tour has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
