Venus Williams Credits American Rock Band 311 for Her 2005 Wimbledon Title

American star Venus Williams has expressed her love for tennis many times. Amongst the other things she loves is music, and one of her favorite bands is 311. They are celebrating 30 years this year which is why Venus Williams congratulated them in a recent video.

During this pandemic when tennis wasn’t being played, Venus must have busied herself listening to one of her favorite bands. As you can see in the video, this 311 fan congratulated them on completing 30 years. She said,

“Congratulations on so many years of not only success but motivating other people. And the reason I love you guys is because you make my life better… I always say that my 2005 Wimbledon, ‘All mixed up’ was everything I thought about – trust your instincts, let go of your regret, bet on yourself and the naysayers don’t mean a thing. I said that every single time people counted me out and guess what – the title was mine.”

The American star went on to say that she always tries to find time to go to a show even when she is traveling. She also said that she cannot wait to go to another show even with everything that is going on.

While Venus Williams certainly wants to go to a 311 show, her main focus right now is going to be training. This is because the Tour is returning and the WTA has come up with a grueling schedule. The US Open and the French Open are to be played in the same month which will be very tiring.

Many players have said that they might skip the US Open due to the restrictions. However, Venus Williams isn’t one of them as she has confirmed her participation in the event. Here’s hoping she does well at the event which starts on August 31!
