The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced that South Africa and be playing 4 Test matches, 5 ODI’s and 3 t20’s in India, later this year.
BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said , “South Africa will play 4 Test matches, 5 One-Day Internationals and 3 T20 Internationals in the months of October and November 2015.”
The BCCI’s Tour Programme and Fixtures Committee announced that they are about to met today in Kolkata to decide the venues for the said tour of South Africa in India. Ahmedabad, Delhi, Nagpur and Bengaluru will be the hosts for the 4 Tests while Chennai, Kanpur, Madhya Pradesh (venue to be announced), Rajkot and Mumbai will host the 5 Odis. Kolkata, Mohali and Dharamsala will be the venues for 3 T20Is.
The tour promises to be an exciting series featuring the clash of two of the highly rated sides across all formats of international cricket.
India will definitely look forward to improve their rankings in all formats (specially their Test rankings) through this series and make use of the home advantage.
