Vanessa Laine, once a model, was married to the Black Mamba. She started her career as a model for music videos before her marriage. The wife of the Lakers legend still has some connections to the fashion world. Today, her estimated net worth is around $600 million. She is the CEO of “Gravity Studios”, a multimedia content company formed by Kobe Bryant.

Vanessa Bryant bravely pursued a lawsuit following Kobe’s death. This was due to members of the state agencies not respecting the family’s privacy during the trying time.  The proceeding was resolved with a settlement of $29 million.

Furthermore, the contract disputes with Nike were settled down verbally, promising her a usual share. Vanessa took responsibility after the passing of Kobe. She also started a clothing brand commemorating her daughter Gianna Bryant named “Mambacita”.

Together, the Bryant couple founded the VIVO Foundation in 2007. The couple later renamed it the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Foundation.

It is a charity that helps in the education of minority college students and underprivileged youth around the globe. They have collaborated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to support and uplift the global perspective of the youth.

After the death of Kobe and Gigi in 2020, Vanessa changed the name of the Mamba sports foundation to the “Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation”. To keep up the legacy left by Kobe and Gigi, the foundation focuses on athletes from all corners of the world. A fitting tribute to the Lakers legend’s legacy.
