The Red Bull Ring was a challenging track for Mercedes, to say the least. The Silver Arrows weren’t at their best and they knew it. Regardless, Valtteri Bottas stood second on the podium at the end of the race, with his teammate Lewis Hamilton in P4.
The team has had a problem with the pace of the car for the last two weekends, and aren’t where they want to be right now. Bottas, who started fifth on the grid, rolled up his sleeves and pushed the machine to its limit. For a job well done, his girlfriend, Tiffany Cromwell, took to Twitter to applaud him.

For a man who has had a rocky season, it is only right to give him all the support he needs. The couple has been spending a lot of time together and are very active on social media.
The Aussie is often seen on the paddock, along with a big smile on the Finnish driver’s face. With the current competition and the challenges of the season, it’s only essential that Bottas find a strong support system.
Bottas’ 2021 season
Valtteri Bottas faces not only the challenge of competing with the rest of the grid but also the challenge of having Lewis Hamilton on the other side of the garage. His seat at Mercedes is also currently a big question mark, with rumors of George Russell taking it from him.
On top of all this, the season hasn’t been too kind to him either. Pit stop problems, strategy issues with a dash of Toto Wolff- it’s been a recipe of disaster for the 31-year-old.

But for all that, his confidence isn’t deterred. In a post-race interview, he said, “Yeah, the last two weekends have been more positive, cleaner weekends and more solid Sundays, as it should be, so yeah hopefully I can carry this momentum and I just try to look ahead.”
He is also very hopeful to deliver results at Mercedes’ home race in Silverstone. “So there’s two weeks until Silverstone and we’ve got some work to do but now I’m keen to have a bit of champagne.”
With Valtteri fueled up on confidence, Hamilton determined as ever, and Mercedes working on upgrades- Red Bull may have to work harder compared to the very easy wins they’ve achieved recently. The men in black seem ready to charge and are ready to put on a show for the next race.
