In a genre as competitive as FPS, any title would happily welcome a good word from popular streamers. The game will be in direct competition with immensely popular titles like Overwatch and Counter Strike Global Offensive, among others.

Riot Games will be satisfied after the closed-door testing of their game given the positive and exciting reaction from the streamers.

Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, a former professional CS: GO player turned streamer, is a big name in the streaming industry with a staggering 7 million+ followers on twitch and 5 million+ on YouTube.

Here, we take a look at what shroud has to say on all things Valorant- right from the gameplay preview to his feedback after having played it this weekend.

Shroud’s take on Valorant

Watching the gameplay preview, shroud was left perplexed, more than anything. Understandable, given the various elements within the game which nobody can truly understand until they actually play the game.

CSGo meets Naruto

Shroud has little doubt the game will be a hit, but not sure if it can surpass Counter Strike.

“CSGO meets Naruto, now that’s funny”, says a chuckling shroud, reading a comment from a follower.

He was also left uncertain about how popular Valorant would prove to be from a streaming perspective since it’s not as straightforward as CSGO.

While reading up on the 8 characters that will feature in the game, shroud was ecstatic about one named ‘Phoenix.’

“That’s dope! this is my kinda character right here. Everyone was saying they wan to be Jett, but this sounds cooler.”

Having read up on all the characters shroud was left impressed () but also confused. he was left impressed (“Some pretty neat characters. It’s cool!”) having read up on all the 8 characters, but that did not do away with the confusion.
