Valorant has seen its fair share of nerfs since its inception. While the primary reason is to get all the agents to fair competition, professional players stand divided on this issue.

Riot Games announced that Valorant will undergo an update in the coming weeks to balance the existing agents in the game.

Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella became the most recent professional who voiced out his opinion on the announcement. The former CS:GO pro joined 100Thieves Valorant roster in August. There had been a lot of speculation around his move. But he started investing more time streaming Valorant, that more or less confirmed his shift to the Riot Games shooter.

Riot Games have announced that Valorant will get its 1.11 patch this week. A few changes will be underway with agents like Breach, Brimstone, Killjoy, and Cypher to be under the radar.

Breach is reportedly getting more buffs, while Killjoy and Cypher will be nerfed. Both Killjoy and Cypher have some of the best abilities in the game. Both these agents can be extremely dominant if placed in the right hands. Cypher can get vital information while Killjoy can hold an entire site by herself and also enjoy good pick rates.

Nitr0 must’ve familiarized himself with the patch notes and didn’t hesitate from expressing his opinion. With Breach being buffed, he iterated the possibility of more Breach/Sage picks that might make the competitive scene monotonous.

Patch updates have surfaced at regular intervals, and the fundamental idea has been to avoid selective agent picks. However, every update has been criticized because it breeds selective agent picking that counteracts the need for an update at all.
