Riot Games is close to celebrating the anniversary of the launch of Valorant. Since over a year of classic deathmatch and spike rush, the developers thought its time to mix things up. Therefore, Riot might be planning to add new modes to its FPS game.
Previously, the developers shared they are already working on new maps for Valornat. Now, there are new leaks that suggest that a new mode is almost around the corner. Valorant Leaks on Twitter posted a screenshot to reveal Riot Games is following the footsteps of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Call of Duty.

Escalation game mode might arrive at Valorant soon
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans might remember the Arms Race game mode. The classic ladder mode was a fan favorite as it let players try out all the classes of weapons in a single match. A similar mode was also present in Call of Duty games called Gun Game.
Players start with a low-tier weapon, generally a secondary, and go all the way to the top. The first player to climb the ladder getting kills from SMGs, Shotguns, ARs, Snipers, and finally a melee wins the game.
This is exactly how the game mode appears to be in the screenshot. It also seems to be a team-based mode, so instead of the player, the entire team wins the game.

Fans are excited to get new game modes
Valorant players had been asking for more casual game modes for a long time. The current rank ladder is too difficult for casual players to survive. Even the casual game modes are extra sweaty. Therefore, the addition of Escalation would really help Valorant players relax.

Riot’s engine and weapons also make the game mode much more enjoyable as compared to the ones in COD and CS:GO. It could also mean that Riot will add more multiplayer game modes in the future. With all the new content lined up, Valorant could end up becoming the most popular FPS game for a long time.
