Valorant truly took the tactical shooter genre by storm this month after Riot Games release the closed beta. With many streamers and even professional eSports players taking to it, fans flocked to watch the game in action. The beta drops enabled through these streams only added to its popularity. However, certain sections of the fans are anxious, and for good reason.
Console and Mobile Users Feel Left Out
The interest in Valorant was brewing well before even the closed beta went live. Curiosity was peaking as gamers waited to see what Riot had in store for them, and once we saw the game in action, it was satisfying.

As fun as it is to watch, everyone wants to play the game and experience it for themselves.
Sadly though, only PC gamers have any chance of getting their hands on the beta. Moreover, when Riot Games announced the free-to-play title would be released sometime later this year, one thing remained a mystery- will the game ever be available on other platforms?
Since there was no official word on this, console gamers were left anxious. PC gamers, on the other hand, are either already playing the beta or eagerly awaiting the full release.
Valorant on Consoles and Mobile a Possibility
The developers indicated that they are focused on the PC version of the game, at least for now. Understandably, this is a bit of a letdown for console gamers. A game that is currently riding the hype train, but all they can do is watch and yearn for it.
Fortunately for console gamers, Riot hasn’t ruled out the possibility of introducing it on other platforms.
Talking to Express Online, game director of Valorant, Joe Ziegler gave other platforms a little hope.

“While we are exploring other platforms like console and mobile, right now the team is working hard to deliver a top-notch experience on PC.”
First and foremost on the team’s mind is making it a complete success on PC. You cannot challenge a game of CS: GO’s repute without giving it your best shot after all.
“As we built Valorant, there were a lot of wild and clever creative ideas we thought about bringing to life. But in many cases, the ideas became constraints that would alter the gameplay or the ideas themselves would be conceptually hard to grasp without material we didn’t support in the game. I think our biggest takeaway through all this was a quite simple lesson- no matter what, find the right idea for your size and scale of gameplay and build upon what that is to enhance your play experience.”
