So How Did It Affect The Other Games?
Riot Games seem to have forgotten about League of Legends loyalists. League of Legends streamers received clear instructions not to stream Valorant. A brilliant marketing strategy for Riot Games with more than a quarter-million waiting patiently for a drop key. Only a particular number of content creators and streamers could access the beta version. While it was great for business, it also created unintended disruption.

As a result of Riot Games rescaling their servers, LOL is bearing the brunt. The servers are giving off technical glitches which are not allowing the players to log in or start a multiplayer round. The problems with LOL servers persisted from quite early on due to extensive internet traffic. Players did not get any explicit warning about the servers shutting down. Riot Games also cancelled ranked queuing for LOL right before Valorant closed-beta went on air.

Officially a statement released on Twitter to address this situation. The Tweet said: “There are some Riot-wide server/login issues impacting all games. We’re working on a fix now.” How will Riot Games deal with the immense traffic within this short period? We can only expect them to try, but the fact remains the problems go beyond Valorant.
