Utah Jazz have reportedly agreed for a deal for Milwaukee Bucks’ g-league affiliate’s guard Rayjon Tucker. They are also reported to have waived veteran Jeff Green to make room for Tucker in their roster.
Green, 33, hasn’t been satisfactory this season. He averaged 7.8 points and 2.8 rebounds over the 29 games that he played this season for the Jazz. He signed a one-year, $2.56 million contract back in June, and is now seeing is way out in the middle of it.
Adrian Wojanrowski of ESPN reported that the deal is done, but an official announcement is yet to be made. The reports suggested that Tucker will get at least a guaranteed deal for the rest of the season.

Tucker is a 22-year old forward playing from Charlotte. He played two seasons of college basketball with the Florida Gulf Coast and then a season for Little Rock. In the 2019 pre season, he entered the NBA draft, but went undrafted. He then played for Bucks’ NBA summer league team and was later assigned to their g-league affiliate Wisconsin Herd.
Wisconsin Herd coach Chase Buford was effusive in his praise of Tucker at The Showcase. Tucker’s been the best player on one of the elite G League teams this season. Milwaukee has hoped to keep him, with several other teams in hot pursuit lately. Good developmental find for Jazz.
