Arnold Schwarzenegger’s eldest son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, is renowned for his roles in Midnight Sun (2018) and Moxie(2021). Third of four children in their family, he went to the USC Marshall School of Business for a minor in Cinematic Arts. In a 2012 tweet, his mother, Maria Shriver remarked moving her 18-year-old son to the dorm was easier than her daughters.

The Schwarzenegger-Shriver couple encouraged their children to listen to their hearts and chase their dreams. The day had come for Patrick to pursue a degree to nurture his acting passion. Ms. Maria Shriver had the experience of helping her daughters Katherine and Christina move to college. She drew a comparison between them with a convincing explanation.

Maria Shriver’s different opinion on moving her boys and girls to colleges

Son of the legendary actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick began practicing acting with his father as a child. He was 18 and was all set to move into his dorm at USC. Shriver tweeted that moving her son into college was different for girls. She tweeted, “It’s very different moving boys into college compared to two girls. So much less stuff. No matching this and that.”

Although she was happy seeing her son grow up and enter an important phase in life, the doting mother missed her son’s presence at home. Shriver tweeted to send her a lot of virtual Kleenex. “Happy for him, but the mom in me is also sad,” she wrote.
