Brittany Brown joins ranks with Elaine Thompson-Herah

On December 7th Andi Sports Management dropped a new post on its Instagram announcing collaboration with track sensation Brittany Brown. The post warmly welcomed Brown to the family writing, “Welcome @_brittanyshamere.” Featuring bold images of the star, the caption also highlighted Brown’s stellar performance record.

Brown boasts a personal Best of 10.90secs in 100m. While in 200m, she has clocked a personal best of 21.99secs. She clinched the silver medal in the 200m at the World Championships 2019. Apart from that, she also has a gold in 200m in the NACAC Championships 2022. The addition of such a star in its lineup will undoubtedly give a facelift to Andi Sports Management. Especially after its image was somewhat tarnished in the Thompson-Herah’s coach controversy.

Thompson-Herah’s coach cried foul

Last month Andi Sports Management announced on its Instagram about Elaine Thompson-Herah’s split with her coach Shanikie Osbourne. According to the release, the reason for the split was “a breakdown in negotiations on a compensation package.” Interestingly, Osbourne differed from the statement and called it out publicly.

In an interview with Sportsmax.TV, Osbourne called the statement, “a big lie.” In the wake of the controversy, the company eventually took down the post. A few days after this incident, the company once again released a statement saying, “Going forward, Mrs. Thompson-Herah will be under the guidance of Coach Reynaldo Walcott of Elite Performance Track Club.”

However, it did not clarify whether Elaine Thompson-Herah would undergo training within the club, or train independently at a different location. That led to speculation and confusion in the athletic community. Getting past the controversies, the company is looking to move ahead. Hopefully, the fresh tie-up will see both the athlete and the company on the better side of things.
