“Don’t Disrespect”- Twitter Explodes at UFC as They Ignore Nina Dobrev for Boyfriend Shaun White

Ever since they announced their relationship in 2020, Shaun White and Nina Dobrev have been making headlines frequently. Their steadily deepening relationship and amazing vacation pictures are a topic of envy. But it seems not everybody got the memo.

Shaun White is a three-time Olympic champion and the most recognizable face in snowboarding. Nina Dobrev, on the other hand, is a popular actor, known for her roles in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘Degrassi’. So which one is more popular again?

The snowboarding legend and his girlfriend have been touring the world and hitting all the red carpets and sports matches ever since the pandemic has eased down. We saw them make their red carpet debut in London, attend the Formula 1 racing tracks in Monaco, vacation in Greece, and even hit up Coachella.

So it’s not a surprise that we see the two lovebirds at the UFC 276: Adesanya vs. Cannonier. In a video posted by ESPN on Twitter, we see Shaun White and Nina Dobrev along with many stars like Miles Teller and Joe Burrow. But what surprised everybody was that they panned right past the ‘Degrassi’ star and failed to even mention Dobrev by name.

Arguably, Dobrev might actually be more popular than her boyfriend in pop culture, given that she starred in many hit silver screen projects.

Fans’ reaction to UFC ignoring Dobrev

The unfairness of the situation frustrated many. Of course, the fans couldn’t stand the disrespect and turned to Twitter to express their disappointment.

“F*** shaun white, MIA FROM DEGRASSI IN THE HOUSE”

One fan even wrote a whole play-by-play script to clarify priorities, “chris pratt, shaun white & miles teller in the same building — me: 😐

nina dobrev in the same building also — me: OMG TOM ITS NINA DOBREV WE ARE IN THE SAME ROOM 😭”

Perhaps next time, the fans will be able to see their favorite stars acknowledged on camera. For now, let’s hope they enjoyed the show.
