Three-time Olympic gold medalist and snowboarding legend Shaun White retired from snowboarding this year. Over the course of five Winter Olympics, White won three Olympic gold medals in snowboarding halfpipe events.
In fact, he is the only male snowboarder to ever successfully defend his Olympic gold medal at a subsequent Winter Olympics. Now, having hung up the gloves on his snowboarding, White has a plethora of things he has to do.
After the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, he shared how his girlfriend Nina Dobrev suggested he make a bucket list. In that vein, in a recent interview, White talked about potentially tying the knot soon.

Shaun White talks about a marriage on the horizon
Ever since he came back from the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, Shaun White has been attending a slew of media events. Recently, for an interview on The Drink With Kate Snow, White talked about his Olympic career and life in general.
He mentioned that there was a lot to do now that his professional athletic career was over. Then, he also shared how this would give him more time to spend with his romantic partner Nina Dobrev.

Towards the end of the interview, Kate Snow asked Shaun White a question that has undoubtedly been burning in his fans’ brains for a while now. “I’m gonna ask this delicately, is there a marriage in your future?” Snow asked Shaun.
To this, Shaun smiled and replied, “I would love (to), at some point, of course”. Then, talking about his relationship with Dobrev, Shaun shared that he is “in a wonderful relationship”.

“So, we’ll see where it goes,” the 35-year-old said. In fact, White stated how now Nina and he finally could spend more time with each other. After all, a professional athlete’s calendar is simply too hectic all year long.
“Now we have the time to actually spend together, so we’ll see,” Shaun said, enjoying his cup of matcha.
White is proud of everything he achieved at the Winter Olympics
Talking about all his Winter Olympics so far, White shared how he is proud to have won three Olympic gold medals. He mentioned the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, where he missed the podium by a single place, securing the fourth position.
White talked about how as an athlete, there would always be the desire to accomplish more. Nevertheless, he stated how he’s happy with what he achieved over the years. Thus, he feels grateful “to just be there at this age and ride with these younger competitors, almost at the podium”.

“I feel very proud,” White expressed, talking about still being able to compete with younger snowboarders across the world. To this day, White holds the record for the most number of X-Games and Olympic gold medals by a snowboarder.
