However, at the 8-second mark, the cowboy was pushed off the bull and landed hard on his left shoulder. Kimzey was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his worst fears: he had broken his collarbone, and he also went through surgery on Wednesday. It was discovered after the operation that the cowboy would need to rest for another six weeks before he could return to any rodeo arena.

The PBR arena was full of furious cowboys, including the seven-time world champion. The cowboy rode into battle with a bull named Reba McEntire’s The Hammer against the Arizona Ridge Riders. Kimzey rode the bull for the first time in the PBR Team Series and absolutely annihilated it for eight seconds, earning him a perfect 90. The PBR arena enjoyed seeing this PRCA cowboy perform, but it was only enjoyable for as long as he was there.
