The PBR Team Series is the focal point of the rodeo industry right now. The participation of numerous bull riding world champions from across the globe at the same PBR event was a major factor in the competition’s immense popularity. The Carolina Cowboys drafted seven-time PRCA world champion Sage Kimzey in the first round. Kimzey, the team’s cowboy, was hurt in the Semi-Finals of a bull riding competition in Cheyenne, Wyoming, a big setback for the squad. However, the latest developments surrounding the cowboy’s injuries have shocked the public.

An update on the condition of the seven-time PRCA champion was posted on Hooey’s official social media website. Although the rodeo star’s injury was not thought to be too serious, he will be out of commission for six weeks. This quickly went viral, and many of his followers expressed worry for the rodeo star and best wishes for his speedy recovery.

Numerous injuries hindered the PRCA career of the seven-time world champion bull rider. He competed with Dakota Rodeo’s Devil’s Revenge on July 28, 2023, in the semifinals of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo. However, at the 8-second mark, the cowboy was pushed off the bull and landed hard on his left shoulder. Kimzey was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his worst fears: he had broken his collarbone, and he also went through surgery on Wednesday. It was discovered after the operation that the cowboy would need to rest for another six weeks before he could return to any rodeo arena.

The PBR arena was full of furious cowboys, including the seven-time world champion. After a lengthy absence, he returned to the PBR and quickly established himself as a valuable draft selection for the Carolina Cowboys. The cowboy rode into battle with a bull named Reba McEntire’s The Hammer against the Arizona Ridge Riders. Kimzey rode the bull for the first time in the PBR Team Series and absolutely annihilated it for eight seconds, earning him a perfect 90. The PBR arena enjoyed seeing this PRCA cowboy perform, but it was only enjoyable for as long as he was there.
