The excitement among rodeo fans for the 2023 PBR Team Series is through the roof. Again this year, the Team Series will include both newcomers and seasoned pros attempting to make their mark on the next generation of rodeo stars. However, unanticipated events are an inevitable part of this dangerous activity, so no bull riding practice ever goes exactly as planned. This time, though, 24-year-old Brazilian cowboy Sandro Batista was involved in a shocking occurrence that astonished the whole rodeo stadium.

Cowboy Channel posted a video on its social media page, and it quickly gained a significant amount of attention. Sandro Batista was seen on camera participating in a buck-off, but he was able to land safely on a nearby metal chute. Since nothing similar exists on the internet, this video clip caused a frenzy among viewers.

In both PRCA and PBR contests, the bucking bulls provide a dangerous challenge for the cowboys. Keeping these animals, which can weigh over a thousand pounds, under control is no easy feat, which just adds to the sport’s allure. These cowboys ride bulls with all their adrenaline, with the goal of getting a perfect 8-second buzzer, the ultimate goal of bull riding. The Brazilian cowboy Sandro Batista and the bull Red Demon were enclosed in the metal chute in the popular Instagram video. At the 2023 Team Series, the young cowboy is ready for a challenge, but the bull he is about to ride has a buck-off percentage of 92.

Red Demon began bucking the cowboy as soon as the metal chutes were removed. The bull with a 92% buck-off record successfully threw off the Brazilian cowboy in fewer tries, but instead of falling to the ground, something unexpected occurred. The cowboy fell on the metal chutes where he had been with the bull only seconds before as the rodeo officials prepared to deal with the agitated animal. Batista had a bad landing on the bars, but he was fortunate to prevent a serious injury that may have ruined his Team Series run.

For the cowboy, this was a complete and utter buck-off since he was unable to gain any advantage. Still, the video attracted a lot of attention online since it was so unusual among rodeo videos.

Rodeo fans just enjoyed the clip

The Cowboy Channel posted the video to their Instagram account. The video became viral within hours, as rodeo lovers flocked to the comments to share their thoughts.

A cheeky fan comment read, “Now everyone knows he’s Spider-Man.” Batista secured 0 points for this ride; however, the community had something else to say, as this read, “He should get points for ‘sticking that landing’!!”
