When it comes to setbacks in life, even the world’s fastest guy can’t outrun his circumstances. At the beginning of 2023, one of the greatest track and field athletes of all time, Usain Bolt, was the target of one of the largest frauds in Jamaican history. A former employee of Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) stole $12.7 million from the account of the sprinter. Bolt started trading stocks with Jamaica’s second-oldest brokerage business, Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL), back in 2012. The athlete and his team were confident in making a financial investment in the company because it already had thousands of investors.

However, the Jamaican sprinter and his staff were taken aback by the news of fraudulent activities, when they met with SSL personnel in the first weeks of the year. Before leaving SSL, a former employee had stolen Bolt’s and other investors’ riches. This personnel has not yet been located by the firm or the authorities to date. Since then, the sportsman has sent many cryptic messages updating his fans on the progress of the hoax.
