Anyone of any age can enjoy the exhilarating sport of surfing. From young children learning to surf to retirees enjoying the ocean, we’ve seen it all. Sani Hellman, age 7, is also an experienced surfer. Hellman prioritizes riding the wave over all other activities, including other sports and computer games popular among children his age. This has not only given him a household name but also attracted the interest of many of the world’s top professional surfers. The kid has a large following on social media because of the surfing footage he regularly shares.

The little Australian surfer has uploaded yet another video to the internet. This time, however, the waves he rode were twice as big as he was, posing yet another difficulty for the little surfer.

Ulladulla native Sani Hellman has been making waves in the surf industry with the use of social media for a while now. As a result of his consistent sharing of surfing material, he has become a youthful icon on social media and a topic of conversation amongst professional surfers. Hellman surfs far beyond his years and is seen here storming an extremely heavy, shallow slab. The wave is frightening, but Hellman thrives on risk. Hellman adds at the outset of the Instagram video, “Those are the heaviest waves I’ve ever surfed in my life.”

Surfing is a dangerous sport since it is governed only by the elements, which is why Sani Hellman protects his noggin with a helmet. Hellman waits for the surf and then blasts through it brilliantly, but his ride is cut short when he is washed out at the wave’s end.
