The most recent World Surf League (WSL) match, the Surf Ranch Pro, had a nail-biting finish. Griffin Colapinto of the United States won the finals against Italo Ferreira of Brazil with a score of 17.77 to 17.13, a 0.64-point advantage. This caused a major uproar among Brazilian fans and sparked a debate over the fairness of the WSL’s evaluation process. The runner-up of the Surf Ranch Pro wasn’t too concerned about the past when he recently demonstrated surfing techniques for this devoted fan base.

The Brazilian surfer Italo Ferreira released a video on his social media accounts, and it rapidly became popular among surf culture and Ferreira’s followers. A few days after the Surf Ranch Pro, this footage was shot, and it seems like Ferreira is eager to take on new challenges.

Ferreira’s translated caption for the video asks, “Which Combination Did You Like Best?” The Brazilian surfer poses this question to the throngs of followers who have flocked to his social media posts. At the start of the clip, Ferreira can be seen carrying a surfboard in his left hand while making a smiling Shaka motion with his right. The video’s soundtrack, 60K by Major RD, Baratapai, sets the scene well as Ferreira begins his surfing quest by catching a wave and then goes on to do some spectacular techniques for his Instagram video.

In the first feat of the video, he does a tremendous air on his surfboard and lands precisely on it again. While riding the same wave, he once again launches himself into the air with the aid of the wave, spinning a few times before landing back on his surfboard and flashing a grin for the camera. However, the Brazilian surfer repeats the feat quickly and flawlessly, wave after wave. Although his next move seemed to be another aerial, he really just returned to the wave’s surface and did it again. Ferreira glances back at the camera at the conclusion of the session, satisfied that he performed stunts worthy of his Instagram fans’ attention.

The footage shows that the Brazilian’s enthusiasm to surf in other events was not dampened by his defeat in the WSL Surf Ranch Pro finals some days ago. Italo Ferreira is now 11th on the WSL Men’s Championship circuit after moving up five spots during the Surf Ranch Pro. He hopes to get into the top 10 and then the top 5 before the championship finals.
