Duke Kahanamoku, often called the “Father of Surfing,” is credited with spreading the sport beyond Hawaii’s shores. The sport has a reputation for being risky since those who participate are at the whim of the elements at all times; the ocean’s waves surely don’t mess around. Yet it’s been more than a century since the sport gained worldwide popularity, and it’s been performed not in natural ocean waves, but in surf parks built with the assistance of modern technology. The Australian business Urbnsurf is responsible for this possibility because of their groundbreaking invention that allows surfers to avoid dangerous ocean water.
TimeOut’s Maxim Boon reported not so long ago that Urbnsurf is planning to build its next major surf park in Sydney Olympic Park. Since the first surf park in Australia opened in Melbourne in December 2019, there has been a lot of interest in creating another one.
A great invention for surfing enthusiasts

Urbnsurf’s successful surf park in Melbourne, means that this isn’t their first rodeo. The company’s primary goal is to provide a safe and fun artificial environment where inexperienced or casual surfers may hone their talents without putting themselves in harm’s way. According to the report by TimeOut, surfable waves will be produced every eight seconds using Wavegarden’s revolutionary “cove tech.” To simulate the motion of ocean waves, Wavegarden Cove uses a modular electromechanical system to propel water particles at speeds of up to one thousand waves per hour. It’s the most environmentally friendly method of its kind. As a result of this business partnership, artificial surfing will go beyond anyone’s wildest dreams.
Shortboards, longboards, bodyboards, kneeboards, and even bodysurfing would all be available at the park. It would also include nighttime LED lighting, to aid surfers using the artificial pool in the dark. Urbnsurf will have a variety of amenities in addition to surfing, including office space, a family-friendly pool, a skate park, and a brand-new surf school staffed by industry professionals. There will be beach cabanas, a hot tub, a café, and a rooftop bar, making it an ideal place to unwind. Every aspect of the park would be loaded with excitement!
