While surfing is most popular amongst its dedicated fan base, even A-list Hollywood stars have been known to enjoy the sport. Although there is no denying the sport’s entertainment value, participants do so at their own peril. Milo Ventimiglia of “This Is Us” fame, also likes to surf, and just recently told a story about it.

On a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, American actor Milo Ventimiglia revealed that while filming in Australia with two of the Hemsworth brothers, they took him surfing in their own time. But, Ventimiglia’s account of his time spent with the famous duo didn’t exactly paint a positive picture.

On set, British comedian James Corden was asking American actor Milo Ventimiglia some questions about a recent shoot for which he had gone to Australia. During filming, he was with Luke and Liam Hemsworth, two of the biggest stars in Hollywood. The actor then told a story about how the Hemsworth brothers took him surfing. Ventimiglia also talked first about his surfing experience, which wasn’t very good because he was just a hobby surfer. Luke Hemsworth did take him to a surf break with waves between 8 and 10 feet high, which completely shocked the actor. The big waves are no joke, and getting wiped out could be pretty dangerous. Ventimiglia, on the other hand, did try to surf in those big waves.

In the video, Ventimiglia talks about how Luke Hemsworth didn’t give him any information about the waves, saying, So I’m like, yeah, cool. So I’ll go up there, and on the way up, I’m looking at Surfline. And it says that it’s like eight to ten feet. Which in Australian terms is probably much bigger than California, and he’s like, ‘No, no, no, it’s three feet, mate, three feet.’ I get out there I’m like, no it’s like eight, doesn’t ten feet; that’s like the biggest stuff I’d ever seen like I’ve never been out in like 10 foot surf but paddled out went into it, uh Luke disappeared.” The moment Luke Hemsworth disappeared from the scene, Ventimiglia had no choice but to try the waves on his own as he continued, saying, “He was off doing something else; I have no idea. I rode one wave all the way in, then I was like, nah, cool, I’m done.”
