Josh Tabone has posted nine photos on Instagram, all of which include Craig Anderson. Although the rule of thirds is not used, all of the images are well composed using leading lines. Tabone was able to shoot this stunning foreground blur in all of his images by getting rather close to the water’s surface. Anderson, who is surfing what seems to be a typical wave, is the focal point of the photo. The photographer has not disclosed the location, but both the sky and the ocean seem to be pristine.
The photos seem to have been shot in rapid succession, with each frame showing Anderson catching a wave. The first photo captures him attempting to catch the wave, while the second shows him finally succeeding. The patient surfer is depicted calmly navigating the incoming wave. The surfer’s silhouette is captured perfectly by the crashing wave, and the cyan hue at the wave’s tip makes it appear as transparent as glass. On the other hand, in the final shot, the surfer seems to have been unaware of the photo session, since he is shown pointing directly at the camera.

How to capture such amazing waves?
Surf photography is a subgenre of marine photography that focuses on catching waves. Some individuals strive to record such natural wonders in order to keep precious memories alive, while others do it as a hobby or even a professional career. To take such stunning images, however, a dedicated amateur would need the aid of specialized equipment.

To take pictures at a rate of more than 4 per second, a DSLR or mirrorless camera is required for the hobbyist. You’ll have more chances to grab the photo if your camera can take more frames per second. However, you’ll need a good lens in order to take decent photos, and for surf photography, focal lengths of 200mm and above are often advised. You may choose between a tele-prime lens and a telephoto lens (70–200mm) for the zoom range. A tripod is also an essential piece of equipment for anyone taking pictures from a moving boat or a sandy beach. In the end, it may not always matter what kind of equipment was used, but what always counts is the photographer’s ability to capture the moment.
