Until humanity can routinely travel to other habitable planets in the solar system, Earth is a fascinating site to discover. The pontoon bridge, also known as a floating bridge, in Shizi Valley, Xuan’en, Hubei, China, is one such landmark that offers visitors a unique experience. Locals and visitors alike have compared driving on this road to surfing because of the spectacular scenery afforded by the bridge.

One of the most spectacular bridges in the world, the Shiziguan Floating Bridge welcomes explorers from all around. Xuan’en County in China’s Hubei Province is home to this bridge. The iconic bridge is unique not only because it floats on the lake, but also because it is surrounded by beautiful woodland and has its own valleys. Both locals and tourists have commented on how the bridge makes them feel like they’re surfing over the water.
The Qingjiang River is crossed by the Shiziguan Floating Bridge or “Long Bridge of Dreams,” which also happens to be the name of the bridge’s eponymous road. At 1,640 feet in length and 15 feet in width, it crosses a gorgeous bluish watercourse. The measured depth is 197 feet. The bridge’s speed limit was put in place so that it wouldn’t cause a dangerous wave. Since it opened to traffic on May 1, 2016, the bridge has been the talk of the travel and adventure communities.

The photo that Xi’s Moments uploaded on Facebook quickly became an internet sensation. It seems to have been taken from a drone’s point of view and shows vehicles passing over the floating bridge. There are six automobiles visible in the image, and the continual speed breakers on the bridge are also obvious. It has been stated that the bridge’s amazing infrastructure allows for the smooth passage of about 10,000 passengers at once. While there are many uncharted territories on Earth, if you’re a surfing enthusiast, this floating bridge is definitely worth checking out.
