Large waves are impressive to look at, but in the world of surfing, long waves require the surfers to work on a whole other level. Natural causes may account for big waves, but the long waves are artificial. Ben Gravy rode a 90-second-long wave that was formed by a well-driven motorboat and a gorgeous sandbank on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Moreover, it’s possible that Gravy rode it without a hitch, making it the longest wave ever surfed in Florida.

As soon as the wave was made, Gravy got into a good position and surfed it to its full potential. From the get-go, he kept his balance on his board, witch can be tricky at times as surfers cannot generate a lot of momentum from such waves. The thrill of seeing him ride the waves was so great that the spectators behind him stopped trying to ride the waves themselves.
