French surfing icon Justine Dupont has surfed the world’s most challenging waves, including Belharra, Nazare, Jaws, and Mavericks. The length of these dangerous waves doesn’t phase Dupont in the least, which is why she is widely regarded as one of the greatest big-wave surfers in the world. Her enormous wave rides have made her a worldwide sensation and an instant online sensation as well. Red Bull recently shared a video on their social media page, and it quickly went viral, with over half a million views in only a few hours. In the video, surfing superstar Justine Dupont rides a huge wave, only to pull off a clever escape maneuver as the water closes in on her.

How did she even make it out?

Because of the unpredictability of big waves, surfing them always gives surfers a rush of excitement. When these waves, which may reach heights of 80 feet, crash down on someone, they have almost no chance of survival.
