Stanford is one of the most prestigious institutions, with an impeccable collegiate record of Stanford alumni representation. It has given the United States ripened athletes who have later proved their worth by clinching awards and accolades.
Stanford has made an international impact with their alumni representing in around 22 varsity sports representing around 16 countries. With the highest number of Olympians having ties or directly involved with Stanford. They recorded 26 medals in Tokyo and 27 medals in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. This makes it one of the most consistent institutions averaging Olympic medalists in every Olympic.

Following the annual tradition this year, yet another batch of Stanford alumni will be representing Stanford in the Olympics. Matthew Fuerbringer, Erik Shoji, and Kyle Dagostino are three of the Stanford alumni who will be representing Team USA in the Paris Olympics 2024. Being part of Stanford, they were proudly showcased in a post shared recently by Stanford Men’s Volleyball. Kyle Dagostino was seen standing along with Matthew Fuerbringer and Erik Shoji.
The men’s volleyball team of the U.S.A. qualified for the Paris Olympics after dominating the qualifier and becoming the top seeding team in the pool. Erik Shoji and Kyle Dagostino were the active scorers of the game with Mathew Fuerbringer being one of the crucial staff in the team. Erik Shoji was in the 2012 roster of Stanford Men’s Volleyball while Kyle Dagostino was in 2019’s roster while the senior most alumni was Mathew Fuerbringer. He was the outstanding senior athlete of the NCAA Championship team.

Stanford University will be inducted in the Team USA Collegiate Impact Award Class of 2020, which was announced by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. It recognizes the schools with extraordinary performances that represented Team USA at the Tokyo Games 2020. Stanford is one of the four schools getting inducted in the first-ever inaugural class. Receiving the Organization’s Olympic Gold Award, it has totaled around 35 USA selections and featured about 19 U.S medalists across around 12 sports.
